The Blackpowder Journal publication format is similar to a traditional paper magazine, only online. There is a cover page, the homepage, a table of contents and articles. Advertisers purchase mini-banners, medallions, insertions along the margins of the homepage, table of contents and articles. A typical medallion is no more than 125 pixels x 125 pixels. The medallions are hyperlinks to the advertisers' web site or online information. More information about E-zine advertising can be found in the Advertising Guide.
The Blackpowder Journal is dedicated all forms of black powder shooting, modern and traditional. What sets The Blackpowder Journal apart is that it can only be found online, a paper equivalent is not available. The "Journal" is supported entirely through advertising.
A minimum of two years worth of past issues are kept online at all times. These past issues are an important source of information of the online black powder community and are constantly being visited. When an issue is moved to the Back Issue archive, the advertising medallions remain active, bring new readers your message. Advertising is available in the back issues at reduced rates.
